Financial Donations
We need you! Precious Minds receives no government funding so we rely on corporate and foundation grants,
nominal program fees and room rentals, community fundraising, and donations from people like you!
Currently we have an urgent need to raise our monthly donation support.
The goal of our 'Friends and Family' campaign is to raise $5,000 a month for Precious Minds' programs and camps. Achieving this goal will provide us with 25% of our monthly budget - a huge boost!
Here are some examples of what your donation will help us achieve:
- $10/month pays for one child to participate in a social skills builder group
- $25/month provides financial assistance for 15 tutoring sessions
- $40/month facilitates three monthly parent support groups
- $50/month pays for a youth to attend two weeks of Blaze Summer Camp
- $100/month provides six families with one month of Saturday afternoon respite through our Break Away program

Through United Way
Did you know that you can request that a portion of your United Way contribution be directed to Precious Minds? Each September United Way kicks off its annual campaign - it doesn't matter where your company is located - you can always have a say in where your money is directed. The request section is located on the back of your contribution form.
"As a long time volunteer for United Way of York Region and a Leadership level participant, I
always encourage companies and their employees to sign up to have donations directly deducted
from their paycheque. This is an easy way to make a donation that is often matched by the employer
thus making the total contribution greater. It also has some personal tax advantages and helps with
annual financial planning. As well, on the donation registration form there is a place to direct all
or a percentage of your donation to the charity of your choice, even if it is outside of your companies
campaign area. Each year I select Precious Minds!"
