FITNESS ZONE GYM

Fitness Zone GYM provides the opportunity for participants to engage in a regular exercise program with their peers in a safe and fun environment with the friendly support of trained staff and volunteers. Individualized exercise programs, complete with a  visual resource of each fitness station will allow the participants to build confidence and independence as they move through the structured, repetitive circuit each week.

Evidence-based studies indicate a direct correlation between regular physical activity and reduced stress levels of anxiety, nervousness and apprehension, these often associated with developmental challenges.

We are tentatively planning our next Fitness Zone Gym for Spring 2021 - check back in February for more information.

FITNESS ZONE SWIM

This community-based programs supports the early development of critical life skills and healthy lifestyle choices. Weekly pool sessions incorporate warm ups; skill building through progressions (water safety rules, breathing, floating, and mobility in the water); group games and fun challenges. Participants are buddied up with high school student volunteers for additional support and optimal social engagement.

We are tentatively planning our next Fitness Zone Swim for late Spring 2021 - check back in Spring 2021 for more information.
