Our 8-week summer day camp program is held at the Uxbridge Community Centre. Precious Minds Summer Camp Experience offers families an affordable, safe, and individualized program for children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. There is no other program of its kind in North Durham Region! We have knowledgeable staff in place to support our program participants (many who need 1:1 support). This ensures that everyone is fully engaged and able to participate. 

 

Programming includes: cooking/baking, arts and crafts, music, drama and physical activity. We are thankful for the use of the Ice-pad at the Uxbridge Community Centre, it gets busy with bike riding (on accessible bicycles),  walking and active games. Participants have a great time using the local Splash pad, playground equipment, walking trails, and swimming pool.

Our camp is divided into three sections:

Fusion: A summer program for our sdult participants that is designed to facilitate friendship, skill building, and community involvement. (18 years+)

Connect: A summer experience designed to create opportunities for participants to connect with their peers while participating in various activities. (child & youth)

​

Blaze: Blaze supports campers that require additional support, often 1:1. (child & youth)
